Dubbed "the Mixtape Messiah," Houston's Chamillionaire arrived tardy as a major-label creative person during his city's 2005 takeover of mainstream rap -- the Top Ten Good of Revenge, released during November that year, followed albums from Mike Jones, Slim Thug, and late Color Changin' Click match Paul Wall -- but he had already strengthened a unshakable following remote the South and received substantial print coverage. Through a fertile successiveness of mixtapes, Chamillionaire (born Hakeem Sediki) became known for his deep, various vox (he sings his possess meat maulers very in effect) and lyric ability. Originally part of Swishahouse, he switched to Paid in Full, where he and Paul Wall collaborated on 2002's Scram Ya Mind Correct -- an album that sold C,000 copies. Prior to inking his deal with Universal, he founded the Chamilitary label and began grooming the careers of brother Rasaq and 50/50 Twin. "Ridin'," off The Sound of Revenge, reached the fee of the Billboard singles chart and was later nominative for a couple of Grammy Awards. The follow-up to Revenge, highborn Ultimate Victory, was released in September 2007.

Claire Danes circles autism biopic

Mick Jackson to direct film based on Temple Grandin's life

HBO's long-gestating Temple Grandin envision is moving forward, with Claire Danes in negotiations to asterisk and Mick Jackson go under to direct the biopic.

Grandin, nonpareil of the leading speakers on autism, overcame the limitations imposed by the disorder to become unitary of the top scientists in humane livestock handling.

High school was especially coarse for Grandin, who was called "tape recorder" by other kids because she repeated things over and over. She also was hypersensitive to all sorts of sensorial stimulation. She eventually calibrated with degrees from several universities, sledding on to write influential essays on animal welfare and designing humane slaughterhouses. Grandin appears regularly on the news program talk depict circuit and was the subject of a BBC documentary titled "The Woman Who Thinks Like a Cow" and Errol Morris' "First Person: Stairway to Heaven."

Danes testament play Grandin from her high schoolhouse years to her post-academic period.
Christopher Monger wrote the script, and an October start date in Austin is existence eyed.
Emily Gerson Saines, Gil Bellows, Anthony Edwards, Dante Di Loreto, Paul Lister and Allison Owen are exec producing, while Scott Ferguson serves as producer.

If everything falls into place, it will be a project nine years in the making for Saines, a one-time agent and straightaway manager-producer for whom this has been a passionateness project. Saines has seen several directors, including David O. Russell and Moises Kaufman, come and go.

"I made a commitment to Temple that I was going to make it and make it right," said Saines, who has a son with autism. "I ne'er pushed to get it made until now, because now we got it right.

"When I first brought this to HBO, and I started talking to Richard Plepler about the increasing (number of people with autism), he sour to me and aforementioned, 'Your numbers have got to be wrong, other than it would be an epidemic.' And I told him it is," she added.

Saines credited such past and present eXEC chiefs at HBO as Colin Callender, Keri Putnam and Jenny Sherwood for championing the project. "It's a testament to the material on which this is based that no one of all time gave up on this," she said.

Danes will next be seen star in Richard Linklater's "Me and Orson Welles," which premieres in September at the Toronto International Film Festival. She is repped by ICM and Signpost Management.

Jackson, repped by ICM, has credits that include "The Bodyguard," "Traffic" the television series and HBO's "Live From Baghdad."

The ‘Transformers’ star — who has previously worked with Megan Fox, Michelle Monaghan and Sarah Roemer — admits that he quickly develops crushes on his female co-stars.

He says, “I’ve been in love with every woman I’ve ever worked with. There’s the three-month attention span that actors have. I don’t know if it’s mutual, but I really don’t care. They have to kiss me when ‘action’ gets called, anyway, so I’ll get what I want.”

A source told The Sun: "Fearne had fun working on 'X Factor' but she decided to quit while she was ahead."

Lohan, Murphy top the Razzie nominees

Lindsay Lohan and Eddie Murphy have each scored multiple nominations for this year's Razzie Awards.
Celebrating Hollywood's worst in Film, the Razzie nominees were announced ahead of the Oscar nominees.
Lindsay Lohan's thriller, 'I know Who Killed Me', in which she plays two characters who may or may not be the same person, received nine Razzie nominations, amongst them Worst Picture of 2007.
For her Worst Actress nomination, Lohan polled more heavily than any star since Sofia Coppola in 'The Godfather Part III,' according to Razzie founder, John Wilson.
2007 may have been the year Eddie Murphy won an Academy Award nomination for his role in 'Dreamgirls', but that didn't prevent his film 'Norbit' from receiving eight nominations.
Besides a nod for Worst Picture, five of those went to Murphy alone, more than any one person has ever received in a single year.
"We decided that each of his characters was so offensive that he deserved individual nominations," said John Wilson.
Adam Sandler ('I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry') and Cuba Gooding Jr ('Daddy Day Camp', 'Norbit') joined Murphy in the Worst Actor category, along with Nicolas Cage ('Ghost Rider')and Jim Carrey ('The Number 23').
The 'winners' of the 28th Razzies will be announced on 23 February, a day before the Oscars.

Adam Sandler Embraces Fans, Politics At Sneak Peek Week Screening Of 'You Don't Mess With The Zohan'

LOS ANGELES — Hollywood is home to movie studios, a thriving fashion industry and more beautiful people than seems reasonable, but Sunday night a few hundred lucky fans got a first look at what real style is all about, thanks to an Israeli hairdresser who aims to please (and then some!). Adam Sandler was on hand to inaugurate MTV's first ever Sneak Peek Week with a showing of "You Don't Mess with the Zohan" and an audience Q&A hosted by MTV Movies editor Josh Horowitz at the world famous Mann's Chinese Theater.

"I don't miss stand-up," Sandler quipped in answer to an audience question on whether or not he would ever go back to his roots. "This is close to it, and I don't like this too much!"

That didn't show when he appeared as the credits rolled on his newest film, the Judd Apatow-penned story of a top military commando who fakes his own death to follow his dream of making the world "silky and smooth" in an American salon. Sandler joked with questioner after questioner, explaining everything from what he wanted to be when he grew up ("A baseball player," he said, "but my father told me I was too slow!") to why he doesn't do more dramas in the mold of "Reign Over Me."

"The guys that do dramas, they're in a bad mood all the time," he laughed. "I like coming home and having fun with my family."

"I have a few questions," a gentlemen said when he got up to the mic.

"You get two," Sander replied.

"I'm a big fan of your films."

"OK, then," Sandler smiled. "You get four!"

Since the movie has a plot that centers on silly terrorists and the Middle Eastern conflict, a big question the audience wanted answered was whether or not Sandler ever felt pressure to portray the politics more realistically.

"Yeah," he answered. "Our hope was to balance it on both sides. There's a lot of poking fun at everybody. We just wanted to make the funniest movie possible."

But the serious quickly gave way to the jovial. When a 10-year-old boy named Ramsey told Sandler he wanted to be an actor, Sandler joked that he'd start him on the path by cutting his hair. "Do you want me to style it for you," he asked in his Zohan accent. When another 10-year-old, Gabrielle, came up to ask a question, Sandler tried to play matchmaker. "Have you met Ramsey yet?" he joked. "He's gonna be big someday!"

In the end, after nearly 20 minutes of questions, the opportunity to meet their favorite comic left more than a few people tongue-tied. "Can I shake your hand?" one man asked of Sandler.

"You bet!" Sandler answered, ending the evening as he began it, by welcoming and embracing his newest fans.

"You Don't Mess With the Zohan" opens June 6.
